Hello everyone,
I have come to join Collingwood Care home for the next six months as a locum Deputy Manager. I am a nurse with over 30 years of experience which first began in 1984 training as a nurse in Cirencester, these were undoubtedly the best years of my working life.I have had a wonderful journey since having worked across many health and social care settings including Orthopaedics, elderly care, Intensive Care, Accident and Emergency, I was a District Nurse for 15 years, and spent some of that time in this area so I knew Collingwood before. I see myself as a holistic practitioner, with much experience which I bring with me to share, but I am always ready to learn something new.
In my more recent years, I have gained my BSc Hons in Health and Social Care and continue to study to maintain my knowledge and skills. I have taught at the University and loved the role in supporting future nurses throughout their training. I have been both a Deputy and a Manager prior to joining the residents and the great team at Collingwood. It is a great home with a lovely friendly vibe, so I look forward to meeting you soon.
