There have been lots of changes here in the last couple of months. Wendy has retired and we wish her well and a happy retirement. Lizzy has taken over as Registered Manager and has returned from Maternity Leave. Mandy and Suzy have both joined the team as Clinical Lead and Deputy Manager.
We have been very busy with big refurbishment projects including the new look staff room and the residents bedrooms with the help of our amazing maintenance team. We are currently changing the carers roles so they have more time to spend with the residents, caring for their well-being as well as their physical needs.
We have had a visit from our local Councillor, Toby Savage as well as Ben Stokes who is our cabinet member for Adult services in South Gloucestershire. They both enjoyed seeing the new look Collingwood and talking through our plans for the future as well as seeing the home.
We are looking to start a focus group in the next few months which, if you are interested, please contact Lizzy (we are looking for a broad rage of different people, not just residents families)
